“Maximum output of 1,071 horsepower” Genesis
Genesis presented the 'Genesis It was shown for the first time through an exhibition.
The 'Gran Turismo World Series' is a global championship competition for the world-class digital racing game 'Gran Turismo 7', and thanks to its high popularity, it celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. Genesis has been an official partner of Gran Turismo since 2022 and has introduced the GR3 Concept based on the Genesis X Concept and the GR4 GT based on the G70 in the game.
The ‘Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Concept’ emotionally embodies Genesis’ unique design language, ‘dynamic elegance’. It is characterized by expressing a delicate yet strong brand identity by reflecting Genesis' unique design elements in accordance with the characteristics of racing games.
The front design of the vehicle is characterized by a new crest grill shape using two rows of quad lamps. The quad lamps naturally connect to the sides, creating an aerodynamic structure and further emphasizing the volume of the rear fender.
In the case of the side part, a mid-engine layout was implemented with the driver's seat and engine placed rearward through a generous dash to axle. In addition, one of the Genesis design features, the arched ‘parabolic line’ that extends naturally from the front to the rear, was applied to create a dynamic feel.
The rear part adopts the oval-shaped design commonly found in Genesis vehicles, and a rear spoiler that takes aerodynamics into account is applied to provide stable high-speed driving performance.
The interior space shows Genesis' unique beauty of blank space through a driver-oriented design. It is equipped with a digital panoramic interface that acts as an information center, further enhancing driving concentration on the race track.
In addition, the bold design of the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Concept is further emphasized by the magma color applied to the exterior. Genesis wanted to express Korea's unique image of being more confident and passionate through the Magma color.
The powertrain is equipped with a Lambda 11 V6 engine equipped with electric supercharger technology. The engine's maximum output is 870 horsepower, and the electric motor's maximum output is 201 horsepower, making the total system output a whopping 1,071 horsepower.
