Top 10 domestic car sales ranking in November 2023
With the start of December, the last month of 2023, the sales volume of five domestic manufacturers was counted last November. Domestic vehicle sales in November totaled 129,424 units (excluding buses and large trucks), an increase of approximately 13% compared to last October. Looking at the market share by brand, Hyundai Motors was the highest at about 45.4% (58,701 units), followed by Kia at 38.6% (49,893 units), Genesis 8.4% (10,889 units), KG Mobility 3.9% (5,050 units), and Chevrolet 2.3% (3,016 units). followed by Renault Korea with 1.4% (1,875 units).
10th place. Hyundai Sonata (4,895 units)
Hyundai Sonata ranked 10th in domestic car sales in November. 4,895 units were sold in one month, which is similar to the 4,849 units sold in October, and the ranking fell by 3 places. Looking at detailed model sales, 1,076 hybrid models were sold and 321 old models (LF taxi) were sold.
9th place. Hyundai Casper (4,895 units)
9th place is Hyundai's compact SUV Casper. 4,895 units were sold in November, a whopping 56% increase in sales compared to last October, and the ranking also rose by 3 places. In celebration of the recent Korea Sale Festa, Casper was also offered a large discount, and shipments appear to have increased.
8th place. Hyundai Avante (5,828 units)
The compact SUV Avante ranked 8th with 5,829 units sold. Compared to October, sales volume increased by about 16%, but the ranking fell by 3 places. Of the total sales, 953 units of the hybrid model were sold, and 115 units of the high-performance N model were sold.
Kia's compact truck Bongo 3 ranked 7th. 5,855 units were sold in November, and compared to the previous month, sales volume increased by about 20%, but the ranking fell by one place. Looking at detailed model sales, 643 units of the Bongo 3 EV, a pure electric vehicle model, were sold.
6th place. Kia Carnival (5,857 units)
Kia Carnival ranked 6th with 5,856 units sold. Compared to October, sales volume increased by about 49%, and the ranking rose by 4 places. Carnival's hybrid model was announced to be launched around mid-December, and sales are expected to increase further with the start of sales of the hybrid model.
5th place. Kia Sportage (5,982 units)
Kia's compact SUV Sportage ranked 5th with 5,982 units sold in November. This is a result of an increase of approximately 27% in sales compared to October and an increase in ranking by 4 places. Sportage is one of the models with high hybrid model sales. In November, the hybrid model sold 3,374 units, recording higher sales than the internal combustion engine model.
4th place. Hyundai Grandeur (7,980 units)
Hyundai Motor Company's Grandeur ranked 4th with 7,980 units sold in November. Sales volume is similar to that of October, and the ranking is also the same, but as of November, cumulative sales exceeded 100,000 units. Of the total sales, 4,672 hybrid models were sold, accounting for about 58%.

Looking at detailed model sales, 7,849 units of the internal combustion engine model were sold, and 1,406 units of the Porter 2 Electric, an electric vehicle model, were sold.
1st. Kia Sorento (9,364 units)
Kia Sorento ranked first in domestic car sales in November 2023. Sales volume increased by about 6.7% compared to October, and Sorento has maintained the first place for three consecutive months. Looking at detailed model sales, hybrid models were sold at 7,440 units, accounting for a high proportion of about 79% of the total sales.
